Terms of Use
1. Agreement
Cutwise AI is provided by its independent developer (“we”, “us”), shown as the seller on the App Store. By using the app or this website you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. We are responsible for the app and its content, not Apple.
2. Adults only
You must be at least 18 years old to use Cutwise AI. The app is offered only in selected countries.
3. What Cutwise AI does
It suggests haircuts and hair colours based on your answers and an automated estimate from your photo. Suggestions are style ideas, not professional, medical or scientific advice, and the estimate can be wrong.
AI previews are approximations. They are AI-generated images and a real haircut or colour may look different.
Hair colour needs care. Colouring, and lightening especially, can damage hair or irritate skin. Follow a professional's advice and do a patch test first.
4. Your photos
Upload only photos of yourself. Do not upload photos of other people, of children, or photos containing nudity, violence or anything illegal. You keep all rights to your photos. You give us a limited permission to process them only to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. Previews are created with Google's Gemini API, so you must also follow Google's Generative AI Prohibited Use Policy.
5. Your previews
You may keep, use and share your previews for personal purposes. Do not use them to deceive, impersonate or harass anyone. Previews carry a visible “AI preview” label and an invisible AI watermark. Do not remove them to make a preview look real.
6. Credits and payment
- Credits are sold through Apple In-App Purchase and delivered instantly. 1 credit creates 1 AI preview, showing a new cut, a new colour or both.
- Credits do not expire and have no cash value. They can't be transferred or exchanged.
- If a preview fails or is blocked by the AI provider's safety filter, your credit is returned automatically.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies at reportaproblem.apple.com. If Apple refunds a purchase, the matching unused credits are removed.
- Tapping Delete my data erases your balance. Unused credits are lost, and the app warns you first.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use automated tools on the service, reverse engineer it, bypass payments or overload it. We may suspend devices that abuse the service or break these Terms.
8. Changes and shutdown
We may change or improve features. If we ever close the service, we will announce it in the app at least 60 days in advance and stop selling credits. Previews will keep working for existing credits during that period.
9. Liability
As far as the law allows, the service is provided “as is”, without guarantees about results. Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms removes rights you have under consumer law that can't be waived.
10. Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the country where we are established. If you are a consumer, you keep the mandatory protections of the country where you live.
