How your photo is used
1. Analysis on your iPhone (free)
Face detection on your phone checks your selfie and estimates your face shape. You tell us your hair type and confirm your hair length and colour. Nothing leaves your phone. The result is an estimate and can be wrong. We do not analyse skin tone.
2. AI previews (paid, only if you agree)
When you spend a credit, the app sends your photo together with a fixed, pre-written description of the haircut and/or colour. You can't type your own instructions. The photo goes through our server to Google's Gemini API (Google LLC, USA), which returns a new image of you.
- Google does not use your photo or the preview to train its AI.
- Google keeps a copy for 55 days, only to detect misuse. If something is flagged, authorised Google staff may review it.
- We delete your photo from our servers within 1 hour and the preview within 24 hours.
- Before upload, the app shrinks the photo and removes hidden information, including location.
The app asks for your consent with this exact information before your first preview. If you say no, you keep your free recommendations and no credit is used.
Every preview is marked as AI
Each preview carries a visible “AI preview” label and an invisible SynthID watermark from Google. Previews are approximations, not a guarantee of how a real cut or colour will look.
